This was the first sunny and warm weekend we've had all summer. It was long overdue. Until June came along I didn't think it rained that much in London...at least not enough to warrant the reputation. But after a few weeks of never ending rain, I quickly changed my tune and started complaining about the weather like a proper brit.
Unfortunately J had to spend the day preparing taxes - the UK ones this time. So, I took the kids to one of our favorite parks - Dukes Meadow - where there is a wading pool/fountain area open during the summer. We plopped our towels down on the ground and the kids changed into bathing suits.
Hard to see (they are both wearing white hats) but they walked into the water hand-in-hand. Pretty cute.
They had a blast splashing around and it was nice for me to just relax in the grass. Once shivers and blue lips set in, the kids got changed and we bought some ice cream from the snack bar. Of course, we all had to try each others flavors - K strawberry, C vanilla and me, Mint Chocolate Chip. At some point K decided to trade me for good. These kids love ice cream almost as much as I do.

After our cones, we played at the park a bit and then headed to the bus stop for home.

K was asleep in the stroller within minutes. C was tired as well but she was a total trooper although we did need to make a few stops along the way.
