On our last day in Spain we drove to the beautiful town of Frigiliana. Frigiliana is located about 30 miles east of Malaga, situated up in the hills with 180 degree vistas of the sea.
As soon as we arrived the kids spotted a playground so that was our first stop. Notice that the swings were just seats - no straps of any sort.
Since the town is built into the hills, we hopped on a ‘train tour’ figuring why walk up the hills when you can ride. The tour was pretty much a bust since it didn’t actually go up to the old section of town (guess we should have read the fine print). We stopped to look at the caves in the hills and the mountain goats, or at least we were told that’s what we were looking at. Neither J nor I could spot them.

After the tour we walked up the hill and found a lunch spot outside with views of the sea. Paella for J & I. The kids ate abondigas and pork stew.
Well fed, we began to explore. All the buildings are whitewashed and the cobbles on the street are fashioned in whimsical designs. The old section is quite hilly and there aren’t many cars since the roads are so narrow.

The doors of the buildings were painted all sorts of different colors – a wonderful contrast to the white walls. I had lots of fun snapping photos of K in front of them. Miss C had fallen asleep by this point.

I absolutely love the photos of Kevin in front of the colorful doors!
