D1 Park Playdate

Yesterday we met up with friends from Day One for a picnic playdate. Many of these families we met when C was just weeks old so it's always fun to catch up and see how much the kids have grown. Kristiana, Michael and Chiara were visiting from London so it was a great excuse to get together.

Shoup Park was the perfect gathering spot. The park has a dedicated area for 2-5 yr. olds with swings, a play structure, a sandbox with diggers and a teeter-totter (which was never empty!). Plus a picnic table right next to it. There is also lots of room to explore on foot and on wheels. We were fortunate too that the weather cooperated with us with sunny skies and not too cold a morning.

We stayed over 3 hrs. and when we finally packed up to go, C fell asleep in the car as soon as we pulled out of the parking lot. It was a fantastic morning spent with some favorite friends. We definitely need to do this again soon!
