Maui Day 7

At 3am we heard a thud and a scream. C fell off the bed. We still don’t know what happened – if she rolled over or if she was trying to get up. Luckily she was fine, just a bit shaken up. But as a result, I slept the rest of the night with a hand in my face and a hippo under my arm. Not the most restful slumber to say the least.

This was our last full day on the island. The original plan was to visit to the aquarium after breakfast however, J and I both agreed that the kids would prefer to be at the beach or pool. So we changed the plan and after a yummy breakfast at Longhi’s, we headed out to the pool. On the way we stopped at the Koi pond to see if the fish were "awake". Like the lobby fountain, this was another daily ritual.

C has always enjoyed the pool but she is starting to actually be able to swim a few feet on her own which is great to see.

We ended up staying at the pool for a couple of hours, then headed upstairs for lunch and a nap. After naps, we went down to the beach.

And stayed until sunset.True to form, K continued to eat lots of sand. However, we were enjoying ourselves too much to leave so we just let him do it. Bad parents?

For dinner we went back to Coconuts for more fish tacos and the highly recommended fish-n- chips which did not disappoint. K was in a great mood, flirting with everyone in the place.
We topped off dinner with some ice cream back at the resort. All of our favorite Maui things packed into a fun-filled day. We are definitely in a groove now and are more than a bit sad to be saying good-bye tomorrow.

But not before a quick morning swim of course!
