The rest of the day was a totally different story. Nap time was dry and C managed to have a clean track record for the rest of the afternoon/evening. Here she is clearly quite proud of herself (as she should be!)
I brought home a potty chart with stickers which was a huge hit. J & I decided this was the extent of a reward system that we were willing to entertain although we are currently re-evaluating.Day 3 was the first day of school in underwear so J & I were anxious to hear the report from her teachers. Turns out she did great. She went to the potty at school and then again on her own when she got home. She had a perfect record all day. But no #2. Hmmm....this could get interesting.
On to Day 4 and we were starting to get concerned that C hadn't pooped in almost 48 hrs. So J relented and put a diaper on her. Voila! However, C was a little miffed that her efforts did not result in the promised 3 stickers. I guess we're going to have to work a little harder on getting her comfortable pooping in the potty and may have to up the reward ante.
Getting the nighttime pull-up dry may also take a while but we're happy at least that C seems well on her way to mastering peeing in the potty. And as an added bonus, J has already noticed significant decline in diaper volume from our household. Yay landfills.
